Self-awareness
Day 1 – Self-awareness: first skill to strengthen
You want to succeed without burning out!
Start here. Not tomorrow. Not when things calm down. Now.
👉 Self-awareness is the first of the 21 psychosocial skills. It’s the foundation. Without it, everything else is fragile.
What does it mean concretely? It’s about being able to answer, without dodging, these 5 questions:
- What are my strengths (not the ones others expect from me)?
- What are my current limits (not those from 5 years ago)?
- What is non-negotiable for me?
- What are my real goals, not the ones I repeat to seem legitimate?
- What is my inner dialogue when no one is listening?
Why is it vital? Whether you’re a manager or not, you are in charge of yourself. Your energy, time, brain, and mental health are your strategic resources.
A leader without self-awareness: makes off-target decisions – burns out from overcompensating – adapts to everything except themselves.
Micro-action:
👉 Take a sheet of paper. Answer these 5 questions.
👉 Not to make it look nice. To see where you stand.
👉 Tomorrow, read them again. Adjust one small thing. Nothing more.
See you tomorrow for PSC 2: Critical Thinking
If you want to go further, book a 30-minute meeting with me and let’s talk.
Have a great day,
Krumma
