Code of Ethics – Positive Performances
At Positive Performances, we believe that you must thrive to perform and perform to thrive. Our approach is rooted in human sciences and positive psychology, with a rigorous, caring, and transparent framework.
This code sets out the ethical foundations of our work and applies to all of our activities: digital programmes (mobile app), coaching, seminars, conferences, courses, workshops, leadership development, and interventions in schools and training institutions.
1. Scope of Practice
We provide educational, developmental, or coaching-based support, grounded in approaches validated by:
- Positive psychology
- Leadership science
- Psychosocial competencies (PSC)
- Mental health promotion
- Evidence-based behavioural and cognitive sciences
We do not offer psychotherapy, do not conduct medical diagnoses, and do not treat psychiatric disorders.
2. Clarity of Positioning
Positive Performances is
not a medical or paramedical practice. None of our services are intended to replace medical, psychiatric, or psychotherapeutic care.
Our coaches, trainers, and facilitators are
experts in positive psychology, pedagogy, leadership, or mental performance, but
are not clinical psychologists, unless explicitly stated.
3. Respect and Non-Judgement
All individuals are welcomed with respect, care, and without judgement. We promote diversity, equity, and recognition as core foundations of environments that support both thriving and high performance.
4. Confidentiality Commitment
All information shared during individual or group sessions is treated with confidentiality, except in cases required by law (imminent danger to self or others, legal obligations).
5. Empowerment and Autonomy
Our approach aims to strengthen autonomy, clarity, and personal agency. We encourage individuals to take charge of their own development and to cultivate their personal resources (character strengths, resilience, HEROIC, etc.).
6. Professional Supervision
The Positive Performances team is engaged in
ongoing supervision and continuous professional development to ensure the quality, integrity, and relevance of its practices
7. Referral to Other Professionals
In cases where specific needs arise (acute psychological distress, behavioural disorders, diagnosed mental health conditions), we are committed to referring individuals to qualified healthcare professionals (e.g., doctors, clinical psychologists, psychiatrists)
8. Professional Responsibility
All members of our team commit to upholding this code and, where applicable, the ethical standards of their respective professional bodies (e.g., EMCC, ICF, FSP).
9. Ethics of Our Digital Tools
Our digital content (mobile app, self-assessments, tools, e-learning programmes) is developed by domain experts, scientifically validated when possible, and is not a substitute for therapeutic care.
10. Commitment to Science, Rigour, and Impact
All of our programmes (Thrive to Perform, Mental Health Mosaic, Réussir, continuing education) are built on scientific, experiential, and pedagogical foundations. We are committed to sustainable transformation—for individuals, teams, and organisations alike.
This Code of Ethics is public. It may be viewed, downloaded, or requested by any client, partner, or programme participant.
