Code of Ethics – Positive Performances
At Positive Performances, we believe that you must flourish in order to perform and perform in order to flourish. Our approach rests on a practice grounded in the human sciences and the principles of positive psychology, within a rigorous, caring and transparent framework.
This charter sets out the ethical foundations of our support and applies to all our interventions: digital programmes (mobile app), coaching, seminars, conferences, courses, workshops, support for teams and leaders, and interventions in schools and training organisations.
1.Scope of intervention
We offer educational, training or coaching support, based on validated approaches in:
- Positive psychology
- Leadership sciences
- Development of psychosocial competencies (PSC)
- Mental health prevention
- Methodologies derived from research in the behavioural and cognitive sciences
We do not practise psychotherapy or medical diagnosis, and we do not intervene in the treatment of psychiatric disorders.
2.Transparency of positioning
Positive Performances is neither a medical nor a paramedical practice. None of our services is a substitute for medical, psychiatric or psychotherapeutic care. Our coaches, trainers and facilitators are experts in positive psychology, pedagogy, leadership or coaching support, but they are not clinical psychologists, unless explicitly stated otherwise.
3.Respect and non-judgement
Each person we support is welcomed with respect for their individuality, without judgement, with attentive listening and care. We value diversity, equity and recognition as the foundations of an environment conducive to performance and flourishing.
4.Confidentiality commitment
All information shared in the context of individual or group support is confidential, except in the cases provided for by law (imminent danger to oneself or others, legal obligations).
5.Autonomy and empowerment
Our approach aims to strengthen the autonomy, clear-sightedness and capacity for action of the people we support. We encourage everyone to become an active agent in their own development and to cultivate their personal resources (character strengths, resilience, HEROIC, etc.).
6.Professional supervision
The Positive Performances team is committed to a process of supervision and continuing professional development, in order to guarantee the quality, integrity and ongoing updating of its practices.
7.Referral to other professionals
In the event of a specific need (acute psychological distress, behavioural disorder, diagnosed condition), we undertake to offer a referral to qualified healthcare professionals (doctors, clinical psychologists, psychiatrists).
8.Professional responsibility
All our team members undertake to comply with this charter, as well as with the codes of ethics of the bodies of which they are members (e.g. EMCC, ICF, FSP, etc.), where applicable.
9.Ethics of our digital tools
Our digital content (mobile app, self-assessments, tests, tracking tools, e-learning programmes) is designed with experts in the field, scientifically validated where possible, and in no way replaces therapeutic support.
10.Commitment to science, rigour and impact
All our programmes (Thrive to Perform, Réussir, continuing training) are built on solid scientific, experiential and pedagogical foundations. We work towards lasting transformation that is at once individual, collective and organisational.
This charter is public. It may be consulted, downloaded or requested by any client, partner or beneficiary of our activities.
